SEO audit (title, canonical, sitemap, links and an 11-criteria page score)
An SEO audit in Web Check starts from a single page address. You enter the URL and get a list of concrete problems, each with a priority and a note on what to change. It is built for site owners, marketers and developers who prefer a checklist backed by numbers to general advice.

What an SEO audit in Web Check includes
One SEO audit is a set of separate checks. Each of them is a section of the full audit and, at the same time, its own API endpoint:
onpage-seocovers the basics of the page: title, meta description, number of H1 headings, canonical, language, viewport, charset, robots meta tag and the count of Open Graph tags;canonical,robots-txt,sitemap,sitemap-deep,hreflangandredirectscover indexing and routing;social-tags,image-seoandreadabilitycover how the page looks when shared and how it reads;link-healthlooks for broken links, andlinked-pagesandstatuscomplete the set.
The result is a list of remarks, not a single verdict: each one carries an importance level and a short instruction.
How the checks work, step by step
- You enter a page address on
/checkor call the API with theurlparameter. onpage-seoreads the title, the meta description, the headings, the canonical link, the language, the viewport, the charset, the robots meta tag and the Open Graph tags.robots-txtreads the User-agent, Allow and Disallow rules.sitemapandsitemap-deepcheck whether lastmod is present and what share of the pages has it.redirectsfollows the chain of redirects,hreflangreads the language annotations,link-healthcollects broken links.- Every remark gets an importance of high, medium or low and a "what to fix" text. In the full audit they are sorted from the important ones to the minor ones.
Thresholds and the 11-criteria page audit
Three thresholds come from an internal page quality standard: a title of 30 to 65 characters, a meta description of 110 to 170 characters and exactly one H1. On top of them, GET /api/page-audit scores one page against 11 criteria:
- text of 3000 characters or more, without tables;
- the keyword at least 7 times;
- the keyword in the title;
- a title of 30 to 65 characters;
- a description of 110 to 170 characters;
- the keyword in the description;
- the keyword in the first paragraph;
- at least 4 H2 headings, one of them with the keyword;
- the keyword in the alt text of at least one image;
- at least 2 internal links;
- at least 2 questions in the FAQ (H3 headings).
If you leave out the kw parameter, the keyword is the H1 up to the first parenthesis. The page audit also checks Product and Offer markup, looks for broken JSON-LD and for a noindex in the robots meta tag. The score reads "N of 11".
What you get from the audit
- A list of remarks, each with high, medium or low importance and a note on what to correct.
- For one page, a score of "N of 11" with the unmet criteria named.
- The data of every check as JSON, under the check's own name.
- A comparison of the FAQ questions visible on the page with the
FAQPagemarkup. Google requires the markup to match the visible text, so a mismatch is reported.
A repeated SEO audit after the fixes shows at once which remarks are closed and which are still open.
Where the audit fits into your work
- Before publishing a page. Run
page-auditwith the target keyword and see which of the 11 criteria are still unmet. - After a move or a redesign. Look at
redirects,canonical,sitemapandstatusto see what changed on the way. - On a multilingual site.
hreflangshows how the language annotations of a page look to a crawler.
Run it and keep the limits in mind
Two calls cover most cases: one page against the criteria, or the whole set of checks.
GET https://webcheck.asibots.pro/api/page-audit?url=PAGE_URL&kw=KEYWORD
GET https://webcheck.asibots.pro/api/audit-full?url=PAGE_URL- If the page is a protection stub or an empty JavaScript shell, the page audit gives no score (null) and states the reason.
- The thresholds follow an internal page quality standard, so they describe that standard and not the rules of any search engine.
- The full audit takes around 40 seconds, and a response through Cloudflare is limited to 100 seconds. Slow sections time out without blocking the rest.
- The API accepts 2 requests per second; above that the answer is 429.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as the keyword if I do not pass kw?
The H1 up to the first parenthesis. For a page whose H1 is "SEO audit (title, canonical, sitemap)", the keyword is the part before the bracket: "SEO audit".
Why does the audit compare FAQ questions with FAQPage markup?
Google requires the markup to match the text visible on the page. Web Check compares the visible questions with the FAQPage markup and reports a mismatch as a remark.
How long does a full SEO audit take?
Around 40 seconds for all 53 checks through audit-full . Slow sections time out and do not block the others, and the whole response stays within the 100 seconds that Cloudflare allows.
